Management Team
Donald S. Palmer, CEO
Don has been in the furniture business since 1974 when he was a
furniture representative for Ethan Allen. Don spent nine years with
Ethan Allen before being convinced by his retail customers to solve
their transportation problems to the West Coast from North Carolina.
Since then, Don has been building Palmer Transport Corp into a leading,
operationally driven, furniture transportation specialist with a
reputation second to none. Don is an active member of the AFMA Transportation
& Logistics Council, the International Furniture and Logistics
Council and the Special Furniture Carriers Association, serving
on the boards and speaking at conferences on the topics of concern
to the industry. Don is also an active member of the Southern California
Executive Committee in support of the City of Hope and was honored
as a Volunteer of the Year in 2003.
Rowland N. Branham, President
Rowland Branham is the President and in charge of all Operations
and market development in the West and East Coast. Rowland has over 27 years of trucking and
transportation experience; the last eight in the specialized furniture segment of the industry.
Prior to joining Palmer Transport Corp, Rowland previously held management positions with furniture carriers W&L
Motor Lines and Shelba D Johnson Trucking. Rowland is active in several industry associations and currently holds
the position of Quality Council Chairman for the Specialized Furniture Carrier Association.
Marie Price, Senior Vice President
Marie joined Palmer Transport Corp in 1993 and has 24 years experience
in the Transportation Industry, more than 10 years of which have
been spent in the Furniture Industry. Marie has served in a variety
of roles at Palmer Transport Corp, including billing manager and
customer service manager, and most recently spearheaded the successful
roll-out of an online track-and-trace service and the development
of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) partnerships with several customers.
Gina Lopez, Vice President of Sales and
Marketing
Gina has joined Palmer Transport Corp in June 2006. She is
responsible for expanding the company's current West Coast furniture shipper
and retailer base, and for adding new business in key Western service areas.
Gina has 19 years of experience in the transportation, furniture carrier and
furniture distribution industry. Prior to joining Palmer Transport, Gina
has held management positions at Roadway Express and KKW Trucking.
Mark M. Gilbreth, Chief Financial Officer
Mark joined Palmer Transport Corp in 2003 as the Chief Financial
Officer. Prior to joining Palmer Transport Corp, Mark worked for
five years in investment banking for a leading middle market investment
bank in New York City. Mark received his MBA from the University
of Chicago with a concentration in Finance and Operations Management.
Richard Douglas, CA Warehouse Manager
Richard Douglas joined Palmer Transport Corp in 2003 as the manager
of Warehouse Operations. Richard brings to Palmer Transport Corp
over 25 years of warehouse and distribution management experience
within the furniture industry. Most notably, Richard spent 20 years
with Berkline managing their West Coast distribution facility.
Henry Chou, Rates & Billing Manager
Henry joined Palmer Transport Corp in 2003. Henry has served many roles,
Customer Service, Billing, Rates and IT, while learning the furniture distribution
industry. He has advanced quickly, is innovative and a real asset to the industry.
